Sierra Construction continues to seek ways to demonstrate our commitment to setting an example in the industry. The Company is managed by ISO, the International Standards Organization, for both its 9001 (quality management) and 14001 (environmental management) programs.

ISO 9001

Sierra adopted the ISO 9001 standard for Quality Management Systems in 2001, and has implemented and maintained its tenets since that time. Based on the principals of open communication, fact based decision making, regular audits and feedback cycles, and continual improvement, this standard has helped ensure that every aspect of your project will be tracked and communicated to all parties involved.  The result of this is the elimination of confusion and redundancies, reductions in timelines and costs, and increased quality and satisfaction.

ISO 14001

Sierra Construction adopted the ISO 14001 standard for Environmental Management Systems in 2009.  This standard provides specific requirements or actions to be taken to minimize effects on the environment and eliminate adverse effects to air, water or land.  This standard is consistent with the applicable laws and regulations set out by the Provincial Ministry of Environment.

Working together to identify, review and monitor environmental issues before, during and after a project aids in eliminating significant issues before they occur. Sierra remains committed to “doing what is right” to protect the environment.

The result of this extra attention to detail is that your project will avoid or reduce delays while maintaining the overall health and safety of your employees, clients, property and community.
